Filed in 1970, the landmark Wyatt case arose out of Bryce Hospital and established nationally influential minimum standards for the treatment of mentally ill and intellectually disabled individuals in institutional settings. Speakers include Jennifer Mathis (Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law), Jasmine Harris (UC Davis School of Law), and James Tucker, who represented the plaintiff in Wyatt and is currently the Director of the Alabama Disabilities Advocacy Program.
